We acquire Warren Electric Group of Houston, Texas. The acquisition doubles the number of Summit service centers and associates overnight. In addition, we added six new service centers in Texas (Houston, La Porte, Beaumont, Clute, Corpus Christi, and Lufkin); three in Louisiana (New Orleans, Broussard, and Gonzales); plus an export division based in Houston, Texas.  

"30 Seconds to Perfection," a cover story about Summit in The Electrical Distributor (tED) magazine, gives an overview of President and CEO Victor Jury Jr.'s management style and principles.

We open an industrial marine division based out of New Orleans, Louisiana to serve workboats, offshore rigs, and other vessels. 

Our engineering, procurement, and construction (EP&C) division based out of Houston, Texas gets started.
